ABOUT NICOLE

A little bit about me :

Hi, welcome to Nicole Mcgrory-Brown

I’m so glad you’re here.

This space has been created from the heart, and I hope when you land here, you feel at ease and you manage to feel connected in some way.

The biggest part of who I am is being a mamma to three amazing children.

They are my world… my reason, my fire, and the driving force behind everything I do.

They inspire me every day to keep growing, keep learning, and keep creating a life that feels aligned, peaceful and full of purpose.

And let’s not forget the mini Nicole in me too…

She holds a big fire inside of me.

A fire to heal.
A fire to protect.
A fire to grow into the woman that feels aligned to her truth.

In so many ways, the work I do now comes from her too.

This is a space where I can share a little bit about who I am, how I got here, and why I feel so passionate about helping people.

Over the years, life has taught me so much—about people, about the mind, and about how the stories we are told can shape the life we end up living.

So much of who we are today can come from things that were put upon us years ago… by teachers, parents, friendships, experiences, or moments that made us question ourselves.

Those things can shape our beliefs, our confidence, and the way we see the world.

But the beautiful thing is… we are forever evolving.

Forever growing, learning, and shedding old beliefs that no longer serve us, so we can truly become who we were always meant to be.

And what better gift can we give ourselves than to live as our most authentic, aligned self?

Hairdressing has been a huge part of my life from such a young age. I started in the industry at 12 years old, and it has given me a truly beautiful life. I’ve owned my salon since I was 18, and five years ago I went into business with another beautiful human, Emma, and I’ve never looked back.

I absolutely love making people feel amazing in my chair.

I love the confidence it can bring, the conversations that happen, and the connections built.

But along the way… life happened.( as it does) I hit moments where I questioned who I was.
What I was doing.
What my purpose really was.

If I’m being really honest…

For years, I lived in survival mode and I didn’t even realise it.

I kept coming up against uncomfortable feelings… uncomfortable thoughts… stories in my mind telling me I wasn’t good enough.

Not smart enough.
Not worthy enough.
Not enough.

But externally, I projected confidence.

I smiled.
I worked hard.
I kept busy.
I achieved.

I had my armour on.

I looked like I had it together.

And in many ways, I did…

But underneath that, there was still a little part of me carrying old stories.

Stories shaped from younger years.

Stories formed through experiences, beliefs, fear, and the need to protect myself.

It made me people-please.It made me over-give.It made me struggle with boundaries because deep down, I found safety in being needed, liked, and accepted.

I often put everyone else first while abandoning parts of myself.

Through therapy, counselling, mindset work and doing the deep digging… I’ve started connecting the dots.

I’ve started understanding where those feelings came from.

Why I reacted the way I did.
Why I sought validation.
Why I doubted myself.
Why boundaries felt uncomfortable.
Why saying no felt wrong.

And now… I’m doing the work to change it.

I’m re-writing the blueprint.

Re-laying new foundations.

Letting go of the old beliefs that no longer serve me and creating a new story, one built on self-worth, peace, confidence and alignment.

And the truth is…

I’m still on that journey.

I’m still learning.

Still growing.

Still healing.

At the top of one mountain, but the bottom of another.

Those moments led me to train in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy.

And honestly… it opened my eyes.

It made me realise how many beliefs I had carried around education, success, and my own potential.

For a long time, I believed “little old Nicole” was just a hairdresser.

And whilst I’m incredibly proud of that part of me… deep down, I knew there was more.

I’ve always loved helping people.

I’ve always loved making others feel good.

But mindset, growth, positivity, and understanding why we think the way we think, became a real passion of mine.

I am also currently training in counselling because I truly believe learning never stops.

Life is forever evolving… and so am I.

I’m not here to be perfect.

I’m here to be real.

I’m here to share my story, my growth, my lessons, and the things I continue to learn as I move through life.

Because the truth is… working on me has become my passion too.

The more I understand myself, the more i come home to me and then the more I can help others understand themselves.

After having counselling, therapy, life coaching, and learning so much myself… I felt called to create something bigger.

A space to inspire. As i have been inspired.

A space to help women feel aligned, confident, calm and content.

A space to help people understand what may be holding them back—and how they can move forward.

So this website is exactly that.

A place where all of my passions come together.

Hair.
Mindset.
Coaching.
Healing.
Conversation.
Growth.

A place where I can help you feel good on the outside… and stronger on the inside.

I truly believe everybody has a story.

And sometimes, through conversation, understanding, support and the right tools… we can start to rewrite it.

I’m so glad you’re here.
